My daughter called this morning to tell me that she heard from two friends that A Scattered Life was mentioned on Good Morning America as part of their "GMA List of the Day" segment.

This is absolutely mind-blowing news, because who knew that college students were up early enough to watch Good Morning America? Certainly not me. I am so impressed with this younger generation, and I say that in all seriousness. Last week a crew of student volunteers helped us carry Maria's stuff up to her dorm room, and now this. I feel good about the future.
Oh, and I also feel pretty good about my book being mentioned on a national program. Right now the news is making it's way around Wisconsin via Facebook.

Around Wisconsin and the rest of the planet!
That is awesome!
Outstanding!
Thanks, Everyone!
Woo-hoo!! Congrats. You're hitting the big time now!
Wow, that's great! Congrats. Noticed any difference in sales, yet?
Thanks for the congrats, Anne!
Ty, I was wondering the same thing myself. So far the book is doing slightly better in paperback, but not any better in Kindle. But there have been variances all along, so unless there's a sudden drastic difference it would be hard to pin a change on any one thing. I'm just glad to be in the game...
Hot diggity! Now if we get Stieg Larsson to shut up for a minute or two, you might have a better shot at the #1 spot. Seriously, though -- Congratulations!

Hey Pale Rambler, your comment made me laugh! You may be the last person in the world to use the expression, "Hot diggity!" but I like it, and I think we should start a movement to bring it back. :)
Wow! Great work!
When I was in college I never would've been up early enough to see Good Morning America. I never took classes that started before noon.
Well, it's a good book,, so it should get mentioned.
Great news! I am so happy for you. You are not just "in the game" you are winning and bravo. You should be.

Lovelyn,I think what you described (purposely picking later classes) is what I think of as the typical college experience. I remember rolling out of bed and scrambling to get to class. The thought that some kids today are up early AND are watching a news show is incredible to me.
Coleslaw--thanks for saying it's a good book!
